Hampi to get world’s largest statue!



Hampi, the UNESCO World Heritage site in Karnataka, will now structure  the world’s tallest statue of Lord Hanuman at Pampapur Kishkindha. It is located on the outskirts of Hampi . The statue would be 215 m tall and an estimated sum of INR 1200 crore has been allocated for its construction. 




According to the sources from the trust, Hampi, which is already a major tourist center will also be made a pilgrimage centre themed around Hanuman Janmabhoomi. The NIE report, quoting trust sources, said, “It will equal the grandeur of Ayodhya after the Ram temple is built. At Ayodhya, the world’s tallest Rama Statue will be built at 225 feet and since Rama and Hanuman were inseparable, we also decided to put up the tallest statue of Hanuman but 10 feet shorter than Rama’s. The Hanuman statue will be made out of copper.”

India's first underwater museum   India is Constructing its first underwater museum  in Pondicherry .  Conceived by the Indian Navy to support tourism, INS Cuddalore, the decomposed ship, will be sunk in the ocean at a distance of 7km from the Pondicherry shore. With the establishment of this underwater museum in Pondicherry . One can enjoy water actives such as Snorkeling and Scuba diving. The 60-metre-long and 12-metre-wide vessel will be a destination for scuba diving and snorkeling. There will be trails and routes for divers to swim in and out of the ship as they watch a colorful marine ecosystem grow. “Once the marine organisms start coming in, there will be life forms at different levels in the water for tourists to see,” Banerjee said .
