Yes! You heard it right Catacomb in Paris is also a popular attraction among tourist .

It all began in late eighteenth century where major public health tied to the city’s cemetery and led to decision to transfer their content to an underground.

The Catacombs of Paris are underground  ossuaries in Paris, France, which hold the remains of more than six million people , small part of a tunnel network built to consolidate Paris' ancient stone quarries. In 1809 catacombs was open for public by appointments but  now its  open to everyone without requiring an authorization and welcome nearly 550,000 visitors yearly.
