India's first underwater museum  


India is Constructing its first underwater museum  in Pondicherry

Conceived by the Indian Navy to support tourism, INS Cuddalore, the decomposed ship, will be sunk in the ocean at a distance of 7km from the Pondicherry shore. With the establishment of this underwater museum in Pondicherry . One can enjoy water actives such as Snorkeling and Scuba diving.



The 60-metre-long and 12-metre-wide vessel will be a destination for scuba diving and snorkeling. There will be trails and routes for divers to swim in and out of the ship as they watch a colorful marine ecosystem grow. “Once the marine organisms start coming in, there will be life forms at different levels in the water for tourists to see,” Banerjee said.
