South Africa lifts travel restrictions for Indian tourists
South Africa lifts travel restrictions for Indian tourists.Starting from November 23, all business and leisure travelers from India can send tourist visa applications to their nearest VFS Global Office. The Consulate General of the Republic of South Africa told a leading website that all international arrivals will be allowed with prescribed safety rules, and a negative COVID-19 test certificate is mandatory for it.
Africa had stopped international travel from March 2020. It was in October 2020 that the African government reopened the country borders to international tourists
- It is compulsory to present a negative PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) test taken not more than 72 hours before the time of flying.
- In event of inability to furnish a certificate as proof, travelers will have to self-quarantine at their own cost.
- For international flights, these airports are operational—Cape Town International; O.R. Tambo International, Johannesburg; King Shaka International, Durban.
- Yellow fever vaccination certificate is required.
